EVENT
DETAILS
Play, Watch and Donate to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation!
14th Annual Event: January 12 & 13, 2024
Come watch the finest "red-carded" hockey players face off in a winner-take-all tournament! The event is a chance for the Minnesota wildland fire "community" to play the great game of hockey, curl and raise money for the Wildland Firefighter Foundation (WFF). The WFF supports firefighters and their families when line of duty injuries and fatalities occur. This private non-profit organization exists to support agency, municipal, volunteer, and private firefighters in ways insurance and other sources cannot. For more information, visit www.wffoundation.org.

The weekend features a curling bonspiel on Friday morning/afternoon, open hockey Friday night, a hockey tournament on Saturday with music, announcing, referees, and all the excitement of a great hockey tournament. An all-ages Skate with Smokey Bear for families on Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening wraps up with a banquet and silent/live auction at the Walker American Legion.
